Learning Objectives
- Discuss the rational use of targeted ultrasound guided fascial plane and nerve blocks with a focus on same-day discharge
- Describe the indications, strengths, and limitations for various fascial plane blocks of the chest wall and abdomen
- Discuss the indications and best-practice recommendations for use of cryoanalgesia in the perioperative setting
- Design a comprehensive, balanced pain management plan that minimizes opioid-related adverse effects and facilitates rapid recovery from surgery and anesthesia
